Securing Government Jobs

Trying times, tough economy and no job?  Collect some data and watch the news and you will find that until very recently private sector business accounted for the larger portion of the job market; such is not the case anymore.  As government employment continues to increase, there is an increased need for expertise and understanding in the application processes to ultimately be employed by the federal government.

If you are new to the federal system, you have undoubtedly run across questions, narrative statements, and requirements to address specific competencies with written knowledge, skills, and ability narratives.  These are unique to the federal system and you can be guaranteed you will be required to provide KSAs in one form or other in seeking employment as a federal employee.

Simply put knowledge, skill, and ability statements are the first and most important factor in the reviewing official’s consideration of your overall application package.  Needless to say, you need to spend quality time developing your narrative responses to ensure you meet all the requirements in the job vacancy announcement and make it to the “best qualified” list referred to the hiring official. You will be able to find a variety of KSA samples on the web.

If you are considering a career with the federal government do your research and find a reputable writer to develop your knowledge, skill, and ability statements.  This could be the difference between success and failure as you seek employment with the Federal Government
