Breeze Mobile Banking

Online banking has been around for several years with the mobile banking application following close behind.  Typically, when you look at the variety of products and services offered through online financial institutions, you would see that most are much the same.  Although some banks do have a unique or more innovative approach, any differences are slight – that is until Breeze Mobile Banking was introduced.

Offered through Standard Chartered Bank, the new Breeze Mobile Banking solution is without doubt in a league of its own.  As words spreads, people are once again becoming excited about online and mobile banking, realizing the Breeze is taking things in a completely new direction.  As you will discover from the information provided in this article, Breeze is a revolutionary solution that experts believe will forever change the world of both online and mobile banking.

For starters, the Breeze Mobile Banking product was developed in Singapore and while it is available throughout Singapore, as well as Malaysia, it will soon be rolling out to markets in Hong Kong, India, and eventually, it will hit global markets.  The initial launch of Breeze focuses solely on being an internet or iPhone application but starting in September of 2010, it will also be offered for iPad users.

Okay, so what makes Breeze so unique?  The answer is the new generation banking platform, one designed to make banking easier, more convenient, and more robust than any other banking platform ever developed.  Keep in mind that people appreciate what internet and mobile banking offers but rather than traditional products and services, Breeze Mobile Banking will be strongly influenced by various 2.0 media marketing sites to include Facebook.com and Mint.com, just to name two.

With the new Breeze platform, people will be able to take online and mobile banking to an entirely different level.  For instance, this application is the first in the world to offer free e-check or e-cheque, which means that you would have the ability to sign a check online, as well as have a physical check mailed to the address you provide.  Another difference with the Breeze Mobile Banking solution is that it uses intuitive interface and use of plain language such as Move, See, and Manage your Money.

The Breeze application also makes it possible for icons to be customized.  Therefore, when you sign up to use Breeze, you would have the opportunity to create icons based on personal preference, making it quicker and easier to identify different sections and levels within the website itself.  You will also discover a special “wish list” function, which helps you save money on a regular basis for something specific such as a new vehicle, home repairs, vacation, etc.  The reminder system is also beneficial if you pay bills online, sending out a notification so payments are never overlooked.

Even the type and level of security offered with the Breeze Mobile Banking application is unique.  Most financial institutions that provide internet and mobile services use “dongle” for security, which is considered the best safety measure available in protecting people online but with Breeze, security is taken one-step further.  Instead of the traditional one password wall of protection, a second password would be sent to your mobile phone via SMS.  For the second password, it would be used just once, after which time it expires.

As you can see from the examples of features with the new Breeze Mobile Banking system, nothing else like it currently exists.  Therefore, Standard Chartered Bank and Breeze are pioneers in the new wave of services being offered to consumers who appreciate online and mobile banking.  To learn even more, please visit the Breeze website.

If you don’t have an online banking account, you are missing out on a great opportunity.  You can save yourself money and time by doing most of your banking transactions on your personal computer or web-based cell phone.

Due to the current economy, banks are struggling.  In branch bank rates on savings accounts are very low and many of the products and services they provided for free to their customers now have fees.  Many of those fees can be avoided by using the internet.  You save the bank money in overhead costs and they pass those savings on to you.

Evaluate your bank account needs.  Do you just want an additional account to use with the bank you’re already banking with or do you want to do everything online?  What services do you need the account to provide?   Is the ability to move money from one bank to another important to you?  Make sure the service is available.

There are many positives with these accounts, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind.  How quickly will you need access to your money?  Can you adjust your spending to accommodate longer than normal wait times for funds availability?  The online banks put longer holds on your deposits then you might have in person.  It might not be available as rapidly as you need it.  Will that work for you?

Finally, remember that you probably won’t have in-person customer service with your online bank accounts.  You will probably have a toll-free number to call when problems arise.  If it’s important to you to have a branch manager or teller solving an issue for you, remember that your online service will be via telephone.

There are many account services available on the internet.  You can put stop payments on checks, pull up your monthly statement and have up-to-the-minute updates on your spending.  You can send wire transfers and move funds from bank-to-bank.  The need for personal checks is quickly disappearing due to the ease of debit cards and because you can usually pay your bills online which saves you even more time and money.

When you make the decision to go online, find the right account for your needs.  Spend the time necessary and do good research.  The possibilities are endless.  Your account might come in a package deal or it can stand alone, each company has its own variations.  You can find the deal or package that works for you.  Take advantage of the interest rates and free or discounted services available with an online banking account today.
